Yamuna Body Rolling

We had the most amazing Yamuna Body Rolling session tonight. If you don't know what it is, here's a wee introduction:

https://yamunabodyrolling.com/about/body_rolling/index.php

You basically use small balls that are like Swiss balls that you usually use to do sit-ups on to target specific areas of your body to release tension. It's basically an amazing DIY massage.

The class finished an hour ago, but I still feel like I'm floating in the air. We went really deep into the practice, as there was just one (poor) newcomer to the class, making small movements with each part of body and noticing how inter-connected it all is.

As with yoga, you focus on your breath to be in the moment, but with YBR, you focus on each movement and notice how it affects your control and the subsequent movement of the ball. It is quite incredible.

OK, enough hippiness. Go try it, people.

Blogging is Back! Food...

...Obviously it was prompted by food...

I've been reading recipes and food blogs (as per) and found a recipe involving soy sauce and butter. Intrigued, I did a wider Google search and found lots of recipes with spaghetti, soy sauce and butter. I could instantly taste that umami taste on my tongue and am pretty excited by how it's going to turn out.

These past six months, I've been trying to cut down our carbon footprint by eating just one meaty meal a day. I am struggling to find vegetable-based recipes that aren't your typical 1) South East Asian, e.g. stir fried vegetables on rice or noodles 2) South Asia recipes, e.g. curries 3) Italian e.g. tomato based whatever vegetable on pasta 4) cheesy. If only we were into more beans and pulses...

Anyway, this is going to be cool, as it's a proper fusion dish - though probably just Japanese. I'm also wondering whether it's going to just send me back to my Jolly Pasta days in Yamaguchi. God, I used to love that place.

The second thing that prompted the blog post was this:

It doesn't sound like a moss burger, but it'll have to do. Mmmmmmmmm
