Furnishing our apartment

I have spent the evening working out exactly what items we wil be purchasing for our new place. I have a floor layout and know eactly where each item of furniture will be placed. 'How much does it cost to kit out a whole new apartment?', I hear you ask.

The answer is $6,300, which includes everything from curtains to potato peelers to air conditioning units, though this doesn't include Phil's sound system. (Eek!)

I've done well and I've done it cheap and it's not because I'm a geek, but because I have no friends so have time on my hands... Plus Phil was working...
