last night went to dinner at this posh-ish Italian restaurant. it's worrying I'm starting to think that 14 dollars for a glass of wine is OK. the restaurant has the largest antipasti bar in new York. I had a delicious lobster risotto. normally never east risotto out,  as it's usually dodgy but this was so good! we went with Phil's colleague and her husband, who is a well known music lawyer. it was strange to be with purple who are clearly regulars somewhere. the service was amazing and the complimentary items kept on a coming. also learnt you're supposed to tip the cloakroom assistant. is there anyone in new York you don't tip?!
