A month

A month seems like a long time in theory but when I think about what I want to do and what I need to do before my job starts on the 23rd, I have no time whatsoever. I will try and be good and blog more now that I am unemployed until January.

Famous last words.

A job!

I finish my 'internship' tomorrow. I was looking forward to returning jobless back to Devon.

NO!

I had an interview today with the British Deaf Association for the post of 'fundraising officer' and just got an email saying they were going to give me the job. I start work on the 23rd and on the fundraising training scheme on the 24th January.

Paul starts work on the 3rd of January so we can start looking for houses now. Yay!

Incidentally, I will be living in a do-gooder house as Kate, Paul and I will all be working for charities.

So starts our careers!

Yay!

Jobs

Not much to report here really. The job is going ok but the time's going really quickly. I'm nearly halfway through my internship already so I'll soon be back in Cullompton and back on the old MSN and daily internet access.

Have applied for a few jobs and had an interview which I will hear about tomorrow or the day after apparently. Not too confident though.

On the social side, I'm happy to say I have reclaimed my life. Been hanging out a lot with Paul and the other day went skating with about 15 gay men. Just been to-ing and fro-ing a lot really and generally having a good time. Need a permanent job!

If you are reading this, then expect a copy of my CV in the post shortly. I expect you to carry it with you everywhere and expect you to whip it out at the slightest chance that there's a job on offer.

I thank you in advance and look forward to hearing from you.
