And so starts the deluge
Got my first rejection this morning. I'm sure it's the first of many.
Applied for my first job since getting back. Let's see how it goes from here.
Went digging for clams this afternoon with my mother. There were 4 of us and we managed to get four massive buckets full of clams. Feel good for having left the house.
Increased my expenditure tenfold today. Spent £15 at the dentist just for a check up and polish. Extortionate.

if its any consolation, best to get rejected than work in a call centre!!

The sad thing is I worked in a call centre for 2 days and then they realised they'd hired too many of us and get rid of everyone sitting in my section. Not even good enough for a call centre *sigh*

yes. extortionate can be the word of the day. I don't know about England, but I just put petrol in my car and it cost me 102.9 bastard pence a litre.
Unemployed can be tomorrow's word.

Before I got my job at DEFRA I worked at a call centre for BT. Riveting stuff. All about shares.
I spent another £21 today on car insurance. I'm just going crazy with my cashola at the moment.

Yeah, I've personally developed a sudden interest in the wine industry; I know mine's easier to fake than yours at least.

I worked in a call centre for about three years - not for BT though, for Adobe. I'm hoping that somebody gets a job soon here. I may never come back to the UK if you don't. I still can't make my mind up if I want to when this year is up but the difficulty of finding work - while having to provide for wife and child - is making me prefer the idea of staying here a while longer.
